Law enforcement is stressful work. Much like their business and military counterparts, the effects of stress on law enforcement personnel has been widely studied and can have numerous negative consequences. From wasted resources and increased civil liability to more serious issues such as officer suicide and increased use of force, stress on law enforcement has serious consequences. Organizations and research institutions are continually working to reduce operational stress but organizational stress is rarely investigated. Identified as one of the leading causes of stress in law enforcement, reducing organizational stress in law enforcement is our goal.
The purpose of the Law Enforcement Research Group is to conduct and support research dedicated to improving law enforcement from within. Our research initiatives place special emphasis on morale issues and working conditions. By identifying internal inefficiencies that can be systemically reduced or eliminated, isolating and promoting successful practices found within well-performing organizations, and improving promotional testing and hiring methods, we hope to promote positive change in law enforcement on a local and global level. |
Executive StaffDedicated is the best way to describe our staff. Responsible for the operations of the organization, our staff works tirelessly and passionately towards achieving the goal of improving law enforcement for everyone.
